Dear City Clerk,

I am a resident of Long Beach and I am providing a public comment for the City Council meeting on May 5, 2026. I demand that the City Council ensure it is establishing measures to protect all residents of Long Beach (regardless of status) against ICE's reign of terror in this country.

As this administration continues to ramp up their tactics, however illegal, unconstitutional, but most importantly, immoral they are, Long Beach City Council must work equally as diligent in ensuring they are doing everything in their power to not succumb to these injustices.

Below are the following community demands for the city council:

• ABOLISH ICE: Impeachment & reform is not enough. ABOLISH is the only way forward.
• Inform & Educate: Immediate broadcasting when ICE raids occur as well as facilitate rapid response trainings.
• Official Documentation: Confirmed ICE activity, kidnappings, detentions, deportations, disappearances
• Public Communication: Certified ICE activity, arrests, detentions, general locations of warrantless arrests
• No City or LBPD Cooperation: Confirm no cooperation or collaboration with ICE, including protecting the hotels the agents are staying at.
• Confirm LBPD response to unlawful kidnappings: Ex. Lack of identification, warrantless actions, use of face masks, etc.
• Pressure ICE Out of Long Beach Businesses: Pressure hotels to stop allowing ICE, DHS, CBP to stay in Long Beach.
• NO PROMOTION OR CONTRACTS (new or renewals) WITH BUSINESSES HOUSING OR IN COLLABORATION WITH ICE, DHS, CBP
